Montblanc Pens
August 9, 2008
Founded in 1906 and arguably the worlds most sought after writing instrument, Montblanc Pens are crafted by masters of their craft in the Artisan Studio of Montblanc’s Headquarters in Hamburg. Each fountain pen is a masterpiece.
Montblanc’s first model – the Rouge Et Noir was released in 1909, followed by the namesake pen – The Montblanc in 1910. The meisterstuck (sp) was produced in 1925.
The white, sylised 6 pointed star with rounded edges is the trademark most clearly identified with Montblanc, this is representative of the Mont Blanc snow cap from above, but the star is also referred to as an Edelweiss, which is an indigenous perennial that grows in the forests and mountains of Europe.
The Artisan Studio is also the birthplace of the world renowned Montblanc Limited Editions. These are handmade materpieces, released in honour of special themes and occasions.
